Praise for Becky Brabham:

"I'd like to say a few things about Becky Brabham, a most talented vocalist and songwriter. I first met Becky in Daytona Beach in 2012 and shortly after she asked me to help with a recording she was working on. Initially, I was going to help her with the mix but we soon began to write together and I was immediately impressed with how quickly she could create wonderful melodies to the chords I would play.  Soon we were writing weekly and then recording each song. I would arrange the music and Becky would create the vocal arrangement. Her skill in the art of layering vocal lines and background harmonies is outstanding, always beautifully constructed and voiced. And her lead vocal ability is amazing, her voice powerful, rich, and controlled. There's no need for studio trickery, no need for autotune, she's the real deal!! One of the best singers I've had the pleasure to work with.

The resulting recording, "I FOUND MYSELF", is a terrific collection of songs that really showcase Becky's range as an artist, both vocally and compositionally. It's a project that I listen to with pride and joy, marveling at her magnificent instrument and feeling blessed that we could create together. I can only encourage anyone that has a chance to work with Becky Brabham to do so without hesitation. She brings a level of artistry that will elevate any project she's involved with."

"One year ago, I had the pleasure of working with Becky Brabham on the world premiere of the play, "Slinky, The Musical!". From the very start, I could tell that Becky knew her "stuff". She not only wrote the music for the play with her father, but was also Co-Producer and Music Director for the show. In that capacity, she assisted me in the audition process by helping to select actors/singers who we agreed would be best for specific parts or for ensemble roles. Once we got into the rehearsal process, Becky worked her magic on areas that I thought need "tweaking". In addition, she worked with the actors/singers as much as they needed so they could present the songs as best/as they could! As a result, we were SOLD OUT on the final day of the show at the News Journal Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. I highly recommend working with Becky Brabham. She is a delight!

"I would like to take this opportunity to make a recommendation on behalf of my musical collaborator, Becky Brabham. I have known Becky for the past four years, and during this time I have worked with her in a professional partnership and during this time, we have also become personal friends.

Firstly, I would like to state that Becky is a person of infinite integrity. She is honest and straightforward, yet diplomatic and caring of all peoples in all ways. The will to lend a hand, chip in and is a consummate team player, with the ability to get her point across and contribute to the decision making process. Becky always seeks the higher ground, and looks for win-win solutions.

Secondly, I have witnessed Becky's extraordinary plethora of talents. Becky has almost perfect pitch, is a chameleon in her vocal styles; be it show tunes, pop, rock, or ballads that she is singing. Her musical talents at the keyboard show the experience and versatility developed from her years playing in live bands, and accompanying other musicians. These experiences have also honed her vocal skills in the art of back-up harmonies as well as singing lead.

Thirdly, I was a witness to Becky helping to write, develop, and produce a new musical, "Slinky, The Musical", and had this performed at the News Journal Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was not only a composer of much of the music, but also helped with lyrics and the storyline development. The accompanying CD was produced by Becky.

Her instrument of choice is the keyboard, but she hits a good drum too! Her skills in this area can be heard in her own compositions on her professionally produced albums, where her crossover style of compositions, singing and playing is accessible to all listeners on CD Baby, ReverbNation, Spotify, YouTube and her website, BeckyBrabham.com

Fourthly, Becky is an excellent vocal coach. Her nurturing personality and enthusiasm elevate ones desire to improve and learn from her considerable experience in the music world. She has so much to offer in this area to singers and musicians of all standards.

Finally, it is in her capacity as a producer with an intuitive feeling of song and melody that we have collaborated. As I am a prolific composer and songwriter, with both a national and international lack of success (so far), Becky and I have completed six project albums, one a double album for a musical, "Match", and we have just recorded our one-hundredth song together. During these session, Becky collaborated and contributes ideas, coaches my vocals, adds BG vocals, produces the albums, adding keyboards and adds a multitude of instruments bringing the composition alive, often far beyond my original interpretations.

In conclusion, is with great pleasure I recommend Becky Brabham as not only one of the most accomplished singers I have ever heard, but as a talented coach, extremely proficient in the role of a producer in the studio and a multi-talented musician."

We are proud to call her one of or very best friends.

"It has been my complete honor to work on several musical projects with Becky Brabham. During those times, I always found her to be extremely pleasant to work with. Becky is always able to come up with great ideas for the projects and flexible to receive input from others when collaborating. Becky always puts forth a full effort to improve on past accomplishments and I always find her to be honest and fair.      In closing, I highly recommend her character, talent and abilities to anyone inquiring."

"I worked with Becky Brabham over five years in a very successful traveling band. She is very talented both as a singer and front person. Also plays keyboards. She was always on time and prepared. She is and has remained a dear friend of mine, a classy lady who I will always enjoy working with."

"Becky Brabham found my studio here in New Smyrna Beach a few years ago and asked me to help her with some songs and recordings.  I had never met her before and had no knowledge of her abilities.  Once we started working on music it was a WOW! moment for me.  Man can this woman sing!  With a charming and effervescent personality and an obvious skill with all facets of music production it became an absolute joy to work with her each time we were together.  Becky is without a doubt a Professional.  Well practiced in her trade and very, very good at what she does.  Our friendship grew to the point that I became involved with her family and especially her Father Bob who is obviously the root of her love for music and skills with production.  She has an incredible "drive" to get things done and get them done right.  Hugely creative with both writing music and words that are dripping with emotion, impact and feel.  These dayz you do not come across talent like this very often and I consider myself very lucky to have worked with her and look forward to doing it again."

"When I did voice lessons with Becky, for the amount of time I did, she was amazing. Going to someone teaching me about my voice was different for me, considering being self taught. (with some help from my older sister throughout the years.) The first day I met Becky, she taught me some voice warmup exercises. I wasn’t comfortable with doing them at first because I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t know if Becky would be very strict, mean, or nice. I have to say she is a very sweet and genuine person, just as much as she is of a teacher.

One of the voice warmups I was taught was, the AEIOU method, which is my favorite method and had worked best for my voice. Also some other simple things we worked on were trying to hold a note for as long as we could, timing with a timer so we could keep improving. She also had me record one of the songs I sing and told me what I can do to improve the sound of what I should and shouldn’t be doing with my voice. Becky had also taught me opening my mouth wider or bigger would make me sound more prominent. I was also trying out for American Idol and Americas Got Talent at the time that Becky and I were doing lessons. Becky was a great help to boost my confidence, also helping me choose the best songs for the auditions.

All in all, Becky is an amazing voice coach! I recommend her to anybody looking for a great voice coach, as well as a person. I give Becky a million stars out of five. She is also one of the best singers I've ever heard, so you know you're learning from an amazingly experienced singer."

Re: Becky Brabham

"My experience with Becky was such a positive one!  Not only did she go out on a limb to cast me in the lead role of Betty James in Slinky The Musical, she also encouraged me to try something I had never tried before with my singing voice.  With her encouragement and coaching I learned how to control my vibrato and all but eliminate it in most of the songs, also singing in my lower range that before had always been difficult for me.  With diligence and practice, I mastered it.  She also helped me with my expression during the recording of the voice overs for the play’s narration.  She was full of positive praise from beginning to end.  She was steady and reliable throughout the rehearsals and the performances.  I am proud to call her my friend."

To Whom It May Concern:

"I had the positive experience of working with Becky Brabham as co-producers of the new play Slinky the Musical, which ran at the News-Journal Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. In January of 2017. We worked together on all aspects of the production, from securing a venue to public relations and ticket sales, to all aspects of the actual stage production. I found her to be a pleasure to work with. She is perceptive, industrious, and skilled in many areas of the performing arts. If given another opportunity to work with her I would not hesitate to say yes."

ALICE R. (BECKY) BRABHAM (WRITER, ORIGINAL SONGS & MUSIC, MUSICAL DIRECTOR OF THE SHOW IN 2017) STONE MOUNTAIN, GA.

BELOW ARE REVIEWS BY ATTENDEES OF THE SHOW:

“I REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOW AND I KNOW ALICE (BECKY) BRABHAM WORKED HER BUTT OFF AND I DON’T KNOW HOW IT COULD HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER. I THOUGHT IT WAS FABULOUS AND EVERYONE ELSE DID TOO. I THINK BETTY IS A HERO. SHE STUCK BY “SLINKY” AND IT COULD HAVE GONE DOWN THE DRAIN. I DON’T REMEMBER ANY SEATS LEFT! I DON’T KNOW WHY IN THE WORLD THE LOCAL PAPERS DIDN’T WRITE IT UP, BUT I WOULD NOT HAVE TRAVELED 400 MILES TO GO SEE THIS IF I DIDN’T THINK IT WAS GREAT AND IT WAS. I FIGURE IT WILL BE ON BROADWAY IN NEW YORK SOME DAY. ALSO, CAN YOU IMAGINE IF THIS WERE A MOVIE? KNOWING IT TAKES A LOT OF PEOPLE TO GET IT TOGETHER AND SLINKY HAS BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME AND IT’S TIME I THINK IT SHOULD BE ON THE WORLD STAGE. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS “SLINKY!”

- SONNY SHROYER (ACTOR) VALDOSTA, GA.

“I THOUGHT IT WAS FANTASTIC! IT SEEMED TO BE SOMETHING EVERYONE COULD GET INTO AND IT WAS FAMILIAR ENOUGH AND HAS SOLD MILLIONS. EVERYONE ASSOCIATES WITH “SLINKY” THE TOY. WE ALL REMEMBER IT AND THE CHILDREN WERE FASCINATED BY ITS BROADWAY FEEL PRESENTED. BETTY JAMES WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE FIRST WOMAN CEO’S OF A MAJOR CORPORATION DURING THAT TIME PERIOD. SHE KEPT GOING AND RAN WITH IT AND GOT HELP FROM TOM CURETON.

THIS SHOW IS A TRIBUTE TO BETTY JAMES. I LOVED THE SHOW AND THE AUDIENCE LOVED THE SHOW. THAT WAS PROOF TO ME THAT WE HAD SOMETHING AMAZING! THE LAST TWO SHOWS WERE SOLD OUT. THE MUSIC ALSO DREW IN THE CROWD BECAUSE OF THE JINGLE, MUSIC AND SONGS THAT HELPED TELL THE STORY. THE CHILDREN WERE SO SURPRISED AND LOVED THE SLINKYS PROVIDED BY ALEX BRANDS AT THE END OF THE SHOW!”

- ROBERT C. BRABHAM, JR., (AUTHOR OF SCRIPT AND ORIGINAL MUSIC & SONGS) LEESVILLE, S.C.

“THE SLINKY SHOW WAS ENTERTAINING. THE STORY LINE WAS INTERESTING AND THE MUSIC WAS CATCHY. WE WERE FAMILIAR WITH THE TOY, BUT WERE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE STORY BEHIND THE TOY. WHAT A FUN WAY TO LEARN ABOUT THE BACKGROUND OF THE TOY AND ITS INCEPTION. WHAT A FUN NIGHT AND THEATRE EXPERIENCE FOR US!”

- DOLLY AND LEWIS MITCHELL, SUMMERVILLE, S.C.

“MY WIFE AND I ENJOYED LEARNING ABOUT THE INTERESTING STORY BEHIND THE FAMOUS “SLINKY” TOY.”
- JAMIE MUNRO, SARASOTA, FL.

“I THOUGHT THE PLAY WAS SO GOOD THAT I WISHED THERE HAD BEEN PRESS THERE! YOU HAD A FULL HOUSE AT EACH SHOW WITH SELL OUTS ON BOTH SHOWS ON SUNDAY. I ASSUME THAT AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT, BECAUSE OF WORD OF MOUTH, PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED TOLD OTHER PEOPLE SO OTHERS CAME AND FILLED THE HOUSE 3 DAYS IN A ROW, WHICH IS PRETTY UNUSUAL GIVEN YOU HAVE A SHOW THAT WOULD APPEAL TO EVERYONE ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND BECAUSE YOU HAD SUCH AN UNUSUAL SITUATION, FAMILY-WISE. THAT THIS LADY HAD PICKED UP AFTER HER HUSBAND ABANDONED HER, YOU CAPTURED THAT VERY WELL. THE SHOW WAS ALSO PRESENTED VERY WELL. IF THESE WERE AMATEURS, I CAN’T IMAGINE WHAT PRO’S WOULD DO WITH THIS MUSICAL STAGE PLAY!”

- RICHARD, HENDERSON, PALM BEACH, FL.

“THE PLAY HAD AN ENGAGING STORY LINE THAT KEPT YOU WANTING MORE. THE CAST WAS OUTSTANDING IN THEIR DELIVERY LINES, MUSICAL TALENTS AS WELL AS THE OCCASIONAL COMEDIC RELIEF. THE STAGE PRODUCTION WAS VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT AND REPRESENTED THE TIME PERIOD. THE ORIGINAL MUSICAL PERFORMANCES ADDED TEXTURE, AUTHENTICITY AND CREATIVITY THAT MADE IT FUN TO WATCH. I THROUGHLY ENJOYED THE MUSICAL AND LEFT WANTING MORE!”

- PAMELA FOOR, HAMPSTEAD, NC.

“THE SHOW WAS WELL THOUGHT OUT. PRODUCTION AND PROPS WERE GOOD TOO! MY HUSBAND LIKED THE MUSIC INSERTED THROUGHOUT THE SHOW. I THOUGHT THE ACTORS WERE WELL CASTED AND THE SCENES WERE CLEVERLY CHANGED. THE STORY WAS EASY TO FOLLOW AND THE PRODUCTION AND DIRECTORSHIP WAS REALLY GOOD. THE MUSIC FED SO MUCH OF THE STORY EVEN FOR MOST PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER KNOWN THE STORY OF “SLINKY’S” INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD. BETTY JAMES’ TENACITY AND FORTITUDE TO MAKE SOMETHING GOOD OF HARDSHIPS WAS CERTAINLY TRANSLATED WELL THROUGHOUT THIS PRODUCTION. I FOUND IT TO BE VERY ENTERTAINING!”

- LORI AND ERIC DUBOSE, LEXINGTON, SC

“THIS IS AN INSPIRING STORY OF HOW THE SLINKY TOY CAME TO LIFE FROM ITS HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO BECOME A HOUSEHOLD NAME. AFTER THE BRILLIANT INVENTOR OF THE “SLINKY” LEAVES HIS WIFE, SHE STEPS IN TO LEAD THE COMPANY TRANSFORMING THE TOY INTO THE ICONIC MUST-HAVE CLASSIC IT IS TODAY. BY INCORPORATING CATCHY MUSIC ALONGSIDE WITTY DIALOGUE, THE STORY OF THE “SLINKY” BECOMES MORE ENGAGING ALLOWING VIEWERS TO EASILY FOLLOW AND ENJOY ITS JOURNEY.

- HARRIET WINOKUR, NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL.

“MY PERSONAL OPINION WAS THE FAMILIARITY OF THE TOY ITSELF RESONATES WITH ALMOST EVERYONE! IT PROVIDES ENDLESS HOURS OF PLAY! THEN FOR

THOSE THAT GREW UP IN THE 1960’S, THE SLINKY JINGLE CERTAINLY BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES. THE STORY WAS ENDEARING AS TO HOW THE TOY WAS INVENTED AND PROMOTED. BETTY’S PART IN GROWING THE COMPANY AND TREATING HER EMPLOYEES LIKE FAMILY WAS A BEAUTIFUL ASPECT OF IT. THE MUSIC WAS CATCHY, POIGNANT AND SINGABLE. IT’S A FEEL-GOOD MUSICAL!

- HELEN CUMMINGS, DAYTONA BEACH, FL. “

“I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO SEE “SLINKY, THE MUSICAL” JANUARY OF 2017 IN DAYTONA BEACH, FL. IT WAS A VERY INTERESTING STORY AND WAS PRESENTED VERY WELL. I THINK ALL WOMEN WOULD PARTICULARLY ENJOY, AS IT IS THE STORY OF A SINGLE MOTHER WHO IS ABLE TO PULL HERSELF OUT OF A BAD SITUATION AND MAKE SOMETHING OF HERSELF FOR HER FAMILY. SHE BECAME VERY SUCCESSFUL. SO GLAD I GOT TO SEE THIS. LOVED THE STORY AND SONGS WERE GREAT. VERY NICELY DONE.”
- MARY NICK, COLUMBIA, S.C.

“I AM 66 YEARS OLD. I HAD NEVER SEEN A PLAY...MUCH LESS A MUSICAL IN MY LIFE. THAT CHANGED WHEN I SAW “SLINKY, THE MUSICAL.” THIS TOY THAT I PLAYED WITH IN MY YOUTH HAD A STORY. IT WAS AWESOME! FIVE STARS.”

- GREG FISCHER, PORT ORANGE, FL.

“A FEW YEARS AGO I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS WONDERFULLY WRITTEN AND PERFORMED PLAY. THE STORY CAME TO BE THE TOY IN JUST ABOUT EVERY HOUSEHOLD IN AMERICA. I WOULD CERTAINLY ENJOY SEEING THIS STORY AGAIN!”

- JANET LESAGE, HOLLY HILL, FL.

HAD A GREAT NIGHT SEEING SLINKY, THE MUSICAL. IT WAS FUN, WITTY AND

ENTERTAINING AND BROUGHT BACK CHILDHOOD MEMORIES OF ME PLAYING

WITH MY OWN SLINKY."
